How to put a whole collection on sale on Shopify

Sales usually aren't one product — they're a category. 'Everything in Summer', 'all Accessories', 'the Clearance collection'. Editing each product's price by hand to cover a collection is slow, and the bigger the collection, the more likely something gets missed or left on sale after the promotion ends.

Target the collection, not each product

Instead of touching products one at a time, a scheduled-sales app lets you point a sale at a collection. SunDial applies the discount to every product in it, and restores all of them when the sale ends — in a single scheduled action.

  1. Choose a collectionPick the Shopify collection you want on sale instead of selecting products individually.
  2. Set the discount and scheduleA percentage, an amount off, or a fixed price, with a start and end time — once or on repeat.
  3. SaveSunDial applies the sale across the collection at the start and restores every original price at the end.

What about products added later?

SunDial snapshots the collection's membership when the sale starts. The products in the collection at that moment are the ones on sale, so adding or removing items mid-sale won't quietly change which products are discounted — the running sale stays predictable.

Put a whole collection on sale in a couple of minutes. SunDial is free on the Shopify App Store.

Frequently asked

Can I put an entire Shopify collection on sale at once?

Yes. With SunDial you target a collection instead of individual products, and the discount applies to every product in it, then reverts automatically at the end.

If I add a product to the collection during the sale, is it discounted?

No. The collection's membership is snapshotted when the sale starts, so a running sale covers the products that were in the collection at that time.
